CANDID CASTING PRESENTS OUR SECOND SERIES OF 'PROFESSIONAL CASTING WORKSHOPS'
'PROFESSIONAL CASTING WORKSHOPS' is a series of workshops for actors specifically targeting the development of techniques for filmed auditions. The workshops have been carefully constructed by Amanda Tabak CDG - founder of Candid Casting and leading UK Casting Director for Film, Television and Commercials since 1993 - using her wealth of knowledge and experience from seeing hundreds of actors in countless auditions.
What people say about us:
"One of the best Workshops I've been to - Candid Casting really seemed keen to help us, which makes such a difference!"
“I had a great time at the workshops, and learnt so much in the process. I’m really looking forward to applying this newfound knowledge and confidence in my future auditions. I’ve already mentioned the workshops to actor friends.”
“I thoroughly enjoyed the workshops at Candid Casting - I will definitely be recommending my friends! I am convinced that my audition technique has improved thanks to the advice from all the workshop leaders.”
“Thank you for running the workshop, you provide a comfortable environment and valuable knowledge too. It was a pleasure working with you.”
"I found it very beneficial to watch the footage back of myself and my classmates. It's rare you can see and criticise your own performance and that really was so helpful."
The course comprises of three 2 1/2 hour sessions held at our in-house Studio at our Central London offices and gives great insight into the selection process beyond your audition.
Week One: Commercial Casting Unveiled
Week Two: Film and Television Casting
Week Three: The Audition
The Workshops explore all aspects of the casting process, including:
Commercial Casting, Film and Television Casting, Audition Technique, Review and Playback of Filmed Auditions, Individual feedback from Industry Professionals, Guest Directors/Producers/Casting Directors, Group Work, Duo-logue Audition Practice, Script Work, Q&A sessions with Industry Professionals, Casting Etiquette - the 'Do's and Don'ts' and a DVD of all work recorded to take away for future reference.
At Candid Casting, we feel it is important for workshops to give time to each individual actor and therefore limit each course to 10 people per workshop. This ensures maximum individual feedback focused on each actor's audition style and needs, rather than one block of generic information to suit all.
Dates and Times:
There are currently no workshops shcheduled, but you can register your interest by sending an email to mail@candidcasting.co.uk, and we will keep you informed on our plans to hold more workshops in the future.

Attending workshops is not a way to obtain employment as an actor. The presence of a Casting Director is neither a guarantee nor a promise of employment. Contact with a Casting Director at a workshop rarely results in any further contact with that Casting Director or any company affiliated with that Casting Director.'
